The Multiple Entry Visa D12 offers a convenient and flexible option for individuals seeking to explore investment opportunities in Indonesia.

This visa is specifically designed for pre-investment activities, allowing foreign nationals to conduct market research, feasibility studies, and establish business connections without the need for a formal work permit.

With a validity period of 1 or 2 years and multiple entry permissions, the D12 visa provides a gateway to Indonesia’s dynamic business landscape.

Prohibitions for D12 Visa Holders

To ensure compliance with Indonesian immigration regulations and avoid legal issues, D12 visa holders must adhere to the following restrictions:

— Residing in Indonesia beyond the permitted stay period: D12 visa holders are only allowed to stay in Indonesia for a maximum of 180 days at a time. Any extended stay beyond this period without obtaining the necessary permits is strictly prohibited.

— Engaging in the sale of goods or services: The D12 visa is intended for pre-investment activities, not for conducting business operations or selling products within Indonesia. Engaging in such activities without the appropriate work permits is a violation of immigration laws.

— Receiving compensation, wages, or equivalent from Indonesian individuals or corporations: D12 visa holders are not allowed to receive any form of income or remuneration from Indonesian sources. This includes employment, freelance work, or any other type of income-generating activity.

General Requirements for D12 Visa Application

To apply for a D12 visa, you must provide the following documents:

1. Valid passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.

2. Proof of sufficient funds to cover living expenses during your stay in Indonesia.

3. A colored passport-sized photograph.

4. Additional documents explaining the purpose and intention of your visit (specified in the Special Requirements).
