This villa that will be completed in December 2018 will be a modern interpretation of the traditional balinese long house of Tenganan village in Karangasem. Past the Angkul-Angkul (Balinese Gate) the villa be accessed via a bridge that leads to the top floor. The living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom are all raised off the ground on a redbrick cladded podium overlooking the river gorge below. The wooden roof structure is held by steel H-beams, which are laid out in a similar fashion to the structures used in the Bale Lantang. An interior staircase leads from the living room to the ground floor where three more bedrooms and a laundry/storage room can be found, as well as access to the salt water swimming-pool.
The villa is exposed to the early morning rays of the dawning sun with its main facade facing East towards Mount Agung Volcano. All rooms are laid out to enjoy views of the sunrise as well as the river gorge below.
A small hidden bale pavilion can be found in the lower garden, perched on the cliff above the river, and is an ideal spot for meditating to the sound of the stream below. Sold on a lease of 35 years with an option to extend a further 20 years.
