Why Halal Certification Matters

In today’s competitive market, halal certification is essential for businesses looking to expand into the growing halal industry. It not only builds consumer trust but also opens doors to global markets.

As Haikal Hassan, Head of the Halal Product Assurance Agency, emphasized, this event aims to embed the halal ecosystem as a core part of modern life. He stated, “Halal is a lifestyle. It represents prosperity, transparency, and modern civilization.” (CNN)

More than just a label, halal certification signifies ethical business practices and quality assurance. For micro and small enterprises, it offers a competitive edge, making their products more appealing to a wider audience. With consumers becoming more conscious of halal standards, businesses that adopt these practices can stand out in an evolving marketplace.

Empowering Small Businesses in the Halal Industry

To support micro and small enterprises, the Halal Product Assurance Agency has set a bold target of issuing 3 million new halal certifications by 2025. This initiative will not only help businesses enter the halal market but also create new job opportunities.

Highlighting this effort, Haikal Hassan stated, “We are targeting 3 million new halal certifications for micro and small enterprises by 2025. This will generate job opportunities for Halal Product Process Companions (P3H), who will assist businesses in securing certification.”

By making halal certification more accessible, this initiative strengthens the halal ecosystem—benefiting businesses, consumers, and industry professionals alike.
